𝘾𝘼𝙋𝙎𝙐-𝘿𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙊 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙎 𝘼𝙃𝙈𝘼𝘿 𝘿𝘼𝙃𝙇𝘼𝙉 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇 𝙀𝙓𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 𝙎𝙏𝙐𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙂𝙍𝘼𝙈 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯

     Capiz State University-Dumarao Satellite College students recently had the opportunity to gain insights into the legal system of Indonesia through a short course program organized by the Universitas Ahmad Dahlan-Faculty of Law. Held virtually through Zoom meetings from February 4th until February 23rd, 2023, the program aimed to help the participants understand the three legal systems recognized and applied by Indonesia: Continental law, Customary law, and Islamic law.

    Got the opportunity to delve deeper into Indonesia's legal culture and the significance of the three legal systems in Indonesian society and state administration.


    During the closing ceremony, the participants were presented with certificates and transcripts of records as a token of their successful completion of the program, and Mr. Arjun Allaga was hailed as the Best Participant of the said program. The program's success is also attributed to the invaluable support of Capsu-Dumarao Office of Student Affairs Chairperson Prof. Jezel Apocero and External Affairs and Linkages Chairperson Prof. Erlyn Lauron.


    Mr.Arjun Allaga, one of the participants from the Teacher Education Department, expressed his gratitude towards the program of UAD, stating that he gained a deeper understanding of the legal profession and acquired valuable skills and information that would benefit his future professional career. This program also taught him about Indonesia and Malaysia's rich culture, traditions, and legal practices.


    Also, Mr.John Vincent Staana, one of the participants from the Teacher Education Department, said that he learned about life experiences from his classmates from Malaysia and the Philippines. This made him realize the importance of collaborative data inquiries and their benefits in further investigating their uniqueness and differences, thus making them globally competitive undergraduates.


    Moreover, Ms.Remelyn G. Erenio, one of the participants from the Criminology Department, was also grateful for the opportunity that has given to her. As a future law enforcement officer, the lessons about Indonesian Legal System helped her better understand how the law works. Furthermore, it was an experienced worth sharing, especially since we have learned to understand the differences, uniqueness, and how beautiful cultures of Indonesia. 


    Overall, the program proved incredibly beneficial personally and professionally for the participants. They appreciate the guidance and support from the facilitators and speakers of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan for their expertise and commitment to providing an immersive learning environment.


    In conclusion, the Capsu-Dumarao Satellite College student's participation in the Universitas Ahmad Dahlan – Faculty of Law short course program was an enriching experience that helped them gain an understanding of the Indonesian legal system and culture. It also provided them with valuable knowledge and skills that they can use in their future endeavors.
